Tempo and a fast-paced offense, was the key to success for Notre Dame’s offense in a 49-16 season-opening victory over Temple on Saturday in South Bend.

Coming out of the gate with momentum fueled by the energy given off by the home crowd, first-year starting quarterback Brandon Wimbush started fast, completing a 33-yard out route to star receiver Equanimeous St. Brown.
