I know that the reality of early season rankings is that they don't matter all that much, but I do think they matter. At least in the moment.

So while beating Arizona State beating Notre Dame in Tempe back in 2014 might not have looked as good at the end of year with the Irish tumbling out of the rankings, don't tell me it wasn't a big win for the Sun Devils. It was a big game at the time.
