The Breakdown: ND Defense vs Boston College

Boston College came into the game against Notre Dame with a running game that was far below average. That was one reason why Irish fans were so frustrated at times watching the game on Saturday.

They weren't supposed to run the ball well on the Irish, not with the way they had run previously and the way Notre Dame had stopped the run the week before against Georgia. It was a heck of a job to hold Georgia to 185 yards on 43 carries.
