2019 NC WR Recaps Notre Dame Visit
Donavon Greene has already landed on the recruiting radar of several big-time programs and even has a few scholarship offers.
This weekend, the 2019 North Carolina wide receiver made a trip out to South Bend to see Notre Dame play rival USC.
“It went good,” the 6-foot-2, 183-pounder said. “It was a good game.”
The Mount Airy, N.C., native got a chance to tour the campus in South Bend.
“I got to see everything on campus, their locker room and fieldhouse and get on their field,” he said. “I liked it. It’s a good campus.”
He was impressed with the crowd inside Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday night.
“It’s a good atmosphere,” he said. “It’s loud.”
And with the way the Irish played in their 49-14 blowout win over the Trojans.
“They played good,” Greene said. “I watched the receivers.”
The Mount Airy High School star believes Notre Dame’s is a system he could fit in well.
He also had an opportunity to speak with some members of Notre Dame’s coaching staff.
“I got a chance to talk to a few of them,” said Greene. “I talked to the receivers coach. He just introduced himself to me.”
Greene left feeling good about Notre Dame.
“I like it,” he said. “I think it’s a good school to go to.
“I think I’ll just keep in contact with them.”
The junior already has offers from Duke, Wake Forest and East Carolina.
“It’s good to have them, but it doesn’t really change anything for me,” he said.
He has one other trip on the radar right now.
“I think I’m going to NC State soon, like in a couple weeks maybe,” he said.
There’s one thing Greene definitely wants in a school and Notre Dame has that.
“I really look for the tradition.”
