2019 FL WR Impressed With Notre Dame
Recruiting isn’t Kalani Norris' top priority at the moment, but it’s important enough that the 2019 Florida wide receiver made the trip up to South Bend last weekend to see Notre Dame play USC.
The 6-foot, 165-pounder from Miami left South Bend impressed.
“It was great,” Norris said of the visit. “I liked the atmosphere. I like the tradition they bring and I just like the way they play as a family.”
The Columbus High School standout get the full tour of the school.
“I got to see everything; the campus, the locker room, training room,” he said. “I got to be on the field. I got to talk to some of the players. I really liked it.”
He didn’t have much time to talk with the coaches, but did have the chance to introduce himself to Irish wide receivers coach Del Alexander.
Norris was impressed with the Irish’s performance in their 49-14 win over the Trojans.
“I loved the way they played,” he said. “They played with aggression. I like the way they pass the ball and the speed of how they played.”
Norris has early offers from Kentucky, Rutgers, Temple and Florida Atlantic.
He plans to remain in contact with the Irish, but his priority now is on his current squad.
“I’m going to stay in touch with them, but as of right now, I’m just focused on my season,” he said. “I’m just trying to get better and get to states.”
Norris doesn’t have any other visit plans at this point and Notre Dame certainly captured his attention.
“I really like the school. Overall, I think it’s just a great school academically and athletically. I really like it. I really enjoyed myself up there. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me.”
