Brandon Wimbush has made elite plays all season, but Notre Dame had been waiting for things to click in the passing game. The junior quarterback had flashed here and there throughout the first eight games.
Last Saturday, Wimbush exploded 280 passing yards against Wake Forest and could have had closer to 350 if not for a few drops on deep balls.
