Recruitment Rundown: Ademilola and his twin brother, Justin, were relatively easy to land. The brothers made the trip out to South Bend for a camp in the summer of 2016. They’d already made the decision together, if the Irish offered, they were going to accept. Shortly after the workout, the offer came and shortly after that, Notre Dame had scored a pair of young, talented defensive linemen. The brothers ended their recruitment before it really got started and several other schools, specifically Ohio State and Alabama, did their best to find an opening. But even after Notre Dame’s disastrous 4-8 season in 2016, the Ademilolas never really had a sincere interest in other schools and St. Peter’s Prep head coach Rich Hansen kept the contact with other programs to a minimum.

Personal defensive line coach Peter Kafaf: "(Jayson) really put it all together. He did his homework. He wanted it. That's what makes great players great. It's not their coaches, it's them having the self-motivation. Jayson and Justin both have that and they have each other, so they end up pushing each other. You have some kids who are really going to make some noise, particularly Jayson because of his body type for the position he's playing. He's learning how to use it and learning how to play with leverage and playing with his eyes really. He's a thinking man's defensive lineman."

ISD expert Jamie Uyeyama: I can’t express enough how impressed I have been with the improvement in Ademilola since his sophomore season. He is a completely different player since the time he first pledged to the Irish and has taken his game to a new level.

He made a big jump with his game prior to his senior season with outstanding camp performances as a pass rusher. Ademilola showed extremely advanced hands and a greatly improved first step. That earned him a rise in the rankings, but to keep that ranking he would have to continue to show that on the field as a senior. He definitely did that based on what I’ve seen from his film.
