Recruitment Rundown: Bracy’s recruitment was an interesting one. Initially, there was some speculation about whether or not he had “the green light” to commit to the Irish if he chose to do so. He answered those questions when he announced his pledge to Notre Dame late on Dec. 17th, a few days after he had already given the staff his word behind the scenes. In the end, it came down to whether or not he would be a package deal with his brother to San Diego State or maximize his opportunity in South Bend.

Milpitas head coach Kelly King: “He’s a great player and a great young man. You can’t go wrong there. Obviously, he can run and has great ball skills. For us, he’s a two-way player. He does a great job shutting the other guy down and plays some running back and receiver for us. He’s a great young man. He’s very humble. He’s about the team and that’s what we like.”

ISD expert Jamie Uyeyama:  The northern California product is a big-time athlete that will need some time to develop at corner for the Irish, but his instincts and ball skills make him an exciting prospect with a very high ceiling at the next level. Bracy has another gear when it comes to speed. That’s always a good thing for a projected cornerback to have. You see more of it when he’s on offense than on defense, though, mostly because he seems to be asked to play a bail technique often that doesn’t require him to kick it into another gear as a defender. As a receiver or runner, he frequently runs away from defenders.
