Bo Bauer Ready To Sign, Report To Notre Dame

Bo Bauer is officially signing with Notre Dame on Wednesday, but the 3-star linebacker feels like he has been part of Irish family the whole time.

“I am signing at my high school’s gym at 3 on Wednesday, but on the app Wednesday morning,” expressed Bauer. “I feel like they have been committed to me for a while, but I am glad it is all on paper and the next step just starts.”

Notre Dame gave the mauling linebacker that home feeling, which was a big reason in his decision to play for the Irish.

“I like how they put emphasis on education and your spirituality,” expressed the Cathedral Prep star. “I also see a lot of my high school there so it made me feel comfortable and is the reason I decided.”

Bauer plans on giving it his all at when he gets started whether it is during games, practices. He just wants to win.

“I am going to bring energy every single day to practice whenever I can even, when I am not playing in the games,” the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder stated. “I want to prepare everybody the best I can to help us win.”

As an early enrollee, Bauer will get started at Notre Dame next month. Even without receiving any specific advice from his future coaches, he is not relaxing at all. He’s been working in the gym and in the classroom.

“Every time I talk to Coach (Clark) Lea, he just says, ‘Get ready,’” Bauer explained. “There is not actual instruction. I am just getting back into my workouts in the gym. He did tell me I needed to work on my hips, so I started to stretching my hips and taking a class to work on them a little bit. Other than that, I have been just trying to get all this work done so I can graduate.”

Excited and focused on getting started, Bauer hasn’t been heavily recruiting other uncommitted targets. He has been just focusing on getting to South Bend and getting to business and tomorrow is the start.

“I talked to Solo from Mater Del (Solomon Tuliaupupu), but right now I am going to be going in so I am focused on that because there is a lot of work to be done in the next couple of weeks.”
