Irish Sports Daily has confirmed freshman tight end Brock Wright will miss the Citrus Bowl against LSU after suffering a "pretty bad shoulder" injury.

The news on Wright and the suspensions of running back CJ Holmes and receiver Kevin Stepherson are overshadowing a positive day for Notre Dame, as the Irish signed 20 prospects earlier in the day.

Wright, an early enrollee, was primarily used as a fullback this fall and on special teams.

Sophomore receiver Chase Claypool and Wright both had surgeries in the last week on shoulder injuries and both will be expected back for spring football.
