Notre Dame WR CJ Sanders Will Seek Graduate Transfer
Irish Sports Daily can confirm through multiple sources that Notre Dame receiver CJ Sanders will seek a graduate transfer this summer after graduation.
We had heard speculation a few weeks ago that Sanders needed to take a heavy load academically to do so and he has been approved by Notre Dame to do so according to a source.
The 5-foot-8, 181-pounder recorded one catch for zero yards in 2017 and will finish his Notre Dame career with 26 catches for 293 yards and two scores.
Sanders did impact the return game as he returned 85 kickoffs for 1,998 yards and three touchdowns and also added 307 punt return yards and one touchdown in his three years in South Bend.
The former four-star prospect chose the Irish over Cal, Duke, Georgia, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Northwestern, Stanford, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt and Yale.
As far as possible landing spots, Sanders went to high school in Tennessee before playing his senior season at Notre Dame (Calif.). We have heard UCF could be under consideration, but it’s probably a little too early to get a feel for his finalists.
