2020 OL Dylan Barrett Enjoys Notre Dame Return, Has Another On Deck
Dylan Barrett was back at Notre Dame for the second time in as many months for Saturday’s spring game and for the second time in as many months, the 2020 Illinois offensive lineman left impressed.
“The trip went great!” the 6-foot-5, 290-pounder told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “It was an awesome time at Notre Dame.
The St. Charles East High School standout got to see many of the same things he saw during his trip down last month, but got a closer look.
“I got to see the facilities and campus more in-depth along with meeting with coaches and trying on jerseys,” he explained.
“The campus, locker room, facilities and just the tradition and the way they do things is awesome to see.”
The sights and prestige of Notre Dame stood out along with the atmosphere inside Notre Dame Stadium for the spring game.
“The campus is outstanding and if you know about the school it speaks for itself,” the St. Charles, Ill., native said.
“The game energy and atmosphere were great to see.”
Barrett, who has early offers from Illinois, Northern Illinois and Western Michigan, also had the chance to speak with Irish offensive line coach Jeff Quinn.
“He said they will visit this spring to see how I move and go from there because they are interested,” said Barrett.
Barrett said he “saw everything” at Notre Dame and after the staff visits him this spring, he’ll be back in South Bend for the Irish’s camp.
“I go to Northern Illinois next weekend and I plan to see Purdue coming up.”
