Sam Mustipher Writes Heartfelt Message To Quenton Nelson
Sam Mustipher and Quenton Nelson have been side by side since June 2014 when they arrived in South Bend.
Nelson is set to be Top 10 pick on Thursday night and will celebrate his draft selection at his parents lakehouse with his family, friends and teammates.
On Wednesday, Mustipher made sure to let his teammate and good friend know how much the last four years meant to him.

"Around this time 5 years ago my dad and I drove to Piscataway, New Jersey to go to a camp. I had recently committed to Notre Dame and had watched film of this guy absolutely demolishing opponents. I knew right away I wanted to play next to him in some capacity. We thought it was going to be LT & LG. It ended up being LG & C. I’ve watched this guy for 5 years mold his game into something all linemen should strive to attain. Most of you were lucky to see him perform at the highest levels on Saturdays. I got to be with him trudging through the snow on the way to The Gug, watching him fine-tune every detail of his game down to the most minute details, studying countless hours of film of himself and other greats, and seeing his desire and passion to be the absolute best in everything that he does. I’ll miss destroying you in 2k and eating wings and Krispy Kreme, but I’m more excited to see what unfolds next in your career. Wherever you end up tomorrow, they are getting a great one.
