Notre Dame Football Adding Auburn FB Keenan Sweeney
Auburn fullback Keenan Sweeney is headed to South Bend as a graduate transfer for his final season.
Sweeney posted the news on Instagram:
"Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.” -Bo Jackson
"Very excited to say I’ll be attending the University of Notre Dame to get my masters in Global Health. No better way to finish my football career at the university I grew up loving. Go Irish!"
In checking with a few sources, it's believed Sweeney will be a walk-on at Notre Dame as the Irish currently sit at 87 scholarships as graduation weekend approaches.
The 6-foot, 237-pounder earned a scholarship in 2016 during training camp and played in three games.
"It's just a dream come true."

In his senior season, Sweeney played in six games for the Tigers and was named SEC Academic Honor Roll and Academic Top Tiger.
Sweeney is no stranger to the Notre Dame program as his father, John, played fullback for Notre Dame and led the way for Vagas Ferguson's single-season rushing record.
Sweeney's grandfather, Jim, was a walk-on in he 1940s.
