Notre Dame snuck into Georgia at the end of 2018 recruiting cycle and landed Pike County running back C'Bo Flemister‍.

The Irish and Autry Denson flipped the 5-foot-11, 192-pounder from Georgia Tech on National Signing Day and Flemister is ready to get to work in South Bend in a few weeks.

“I’m really excited to get up there and get started soon,” Flemister told Irish Sports Daily. “Right now, I’m trying live the rest of high school up with the time I have left with the people here. I’m spending a lot of time with friends and keeping my mind off it until I have to go.”

As a senior, Flemister ran for 1,799 yards and 24 touchdowns for Pike Country, and he’s currently adapting to Matt Balis’ workout plan.

“I’ve been working with the workout program they have sent,” explained Flemister. “I haven’t really been doing anything specifically other than that workout. It’s a really different workout. It’s a lot harder than what I did in high school.”

Denson has stayed in contact with Flemister since Signing Day and continues to send his famous motivational quotes each morning.

“He has continued to send me a Bible verse every day,” stated Flemister. “He’ll hit me up now and then to catch up.”

Flemister is looking forward to connecting with his new teammates next month as it’s been hard to really connect with each other because the class is spread out across the country.

“I haven’t been in touch with too many of them,” Flemister said. “The guys I have been in touch with seem cool. I have a few on Social Media and talk to them through that.”

The Georgia native is also looking forward to September 1st as Notre Dame will host Michigan, and it will be the first time Flemister will get to run out of the tunnel.

“I know it’s going to be crazy,” said Flemister. “I don’t even know what to expect. I’m really excited, and I can’t wait for it.”
