Notre Dame Hosting Three Intriguing Prospects

Notre Dame will host three intriguing prospects over the weekend as 2019 athlete Cam Hart‍, 2020 tight end Kevin Bauman‍ and 2020 receiver DJ Graham‍ will be in South Bend.

The Irish offered Bauman on May 25th, so he wasted little time getting to Notre Dame. The 6-foot-5, 230-pounder hails Red Bank Catholic (N.J.), which is the same program as Quenton Nelson. The two train at the same gym, so the four-star prospect already has a good idea of what the Irish program is about on and off the field.

The Irish lost out on 2019 tight end Luke Deal last week, so there would be nothing better than to get in the lead pack for one of the nation’s top tight ends in 2020, who also grew up a Notre Dame fan.

“It’s a Catholic university, which is big for me personally. I’ve always grown up watching Notre Dame and being a fan of Notre Dame. I know what they do with their tight ends, they’re a big tight end school. All of that together really stands out.”

The New Jersey native also holds offers from Boston College, Central Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Northwestern, Rutgers, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Virginia and West Virginia.

2020 ATH DJ Graham

Graham is an exciting prospect and one of my favorites so far in the 2020 class. The Keller Central (Texas) star could end up playing receiver or defensive back in college, but I personally like him at receiver.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder recorded 27 catches for 556 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore but showed the ability to get deep. Notre Dame needs deep threats on the roster and Graham fits the bill. However, Graham has a ton of potential to be a great safety, so it will be interesting to see where Notre Dame projects him after this weekend.

It would be somewhat surprising if Graham left South Bend without an offer in hand. Arkansas, Baylor, Georgia, Houston, Indiana, Kansas, LSU, Missouri, SMU, Texas Tech, Tulsa and Utah have already offered.

2020 ATH Cam Hart

Speaking of the receiver position, Notre Dame is looking for its first receiver commit in the 2019 class. Hart is a candidate to get an offer this weekend, and it would be a big one for him as Notre Dame was his childhood dream school.

Much like Graham, the Good Counsel (Md.) star holds offers at receiver and defensive back, but if the Irish offer, it would likely be at receiver. I love the smooth play from 6-foot-3, 181-pounder as the game comes naturally to him and he makes the spectacular play look routine.

Hart isn’t a burner, but speed isn’t a concern as he runs away from defenses and closes on the ball well on defense.

Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, Temple, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia have offered the three-star prospect.

Notes
- 2019 four-star RB Kyren Williams‍ is at Missouri this weekend for an official visit.
- 2020 four-star offensive lineman Paris Johnson‍ is at Alabama for an unofficial visit.
