2020 TX S Darius Snow Impressed By Notre Dame & Could Be Back In The Fall
2020 Hebron (Texas) safety Darius Snow wanted to get to Notre Dame since picking up an offer in May.
On Thursday, the four-star prospect made the trip to South Bend and while the football tradition caught his eye, the size of the student body had his attention.
“It’s a very prestigious and tradition-rich,” Snow told Irish Sports Daily. “The amount of undergraduates definitely stood out the most to me.”
The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder also received plenty of attention from the Notre Dame staff. The message to Snow was to get a degree and play football at a high level.
“I got to meet pretty much everyone on the coaching staff, stated Snow. “Their messages were the same, to be honest. ‘Notre Dame is the best of both worlds.'”
Snow also got to see the new additions to Notre Dame Stadium and the new practice facility going up across from The Gug.
“The facilities were really nice,” Snow stated. “The new practice facility they’re building is amazing. $49 million...”
The staff was also able to show Snow where they saw him fitting into the defense. He also got an overview of the defense, which allowed him to get a better feel of how Notre Dame would use him.
“I love their defense because it’s multiple,” explained Snow. “Which means at the next level, I’ll be able to adjust to different defenses and also be more commanding at safety.”
The Texas native will look to get back to Notre Dame this fall where he could potentially watch his cousin Braden Lenzy on the field for the Irish.
“I won't be back this summer, but I’ll definitely be back up sometime this year for a game,” said Snow.
