Mack and Mustipher Named To Watch Lists

It’s Friday, and that means more award watch lists! 

Notre Dame captain Sam Mustipher was named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List, which goes to the best center in college football. 

The 6-foot-2, 304-pounder enters his third season as the starter at center for the Irish. Mustipher has started 25 games for Notre Dame and made appearances in 34 games over his career. The Owings Mills (Md.) native was also on the Rimington Award Watch List in 2017. 

Tight End Alizè Mack was named to the Mackey Award Watch List, given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end. 

The former four-star prospect missed the 2016 season but was back on the field last fall where he caught 19 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown. 

The 6-foot-4, 244-pounder had a big spring and will look to build on 32 career receptions for 356 yards and one touchdown this fall.
