2020 Round Rock (Texas) receiver Collin Sullivan‍ might live 17 hours from South Bend, but he’s quickly making his presence felt on campus as the 6-foot-1, 175-pounder will make his third trip to Notre Dame this weekend.

“I’ve been there twice, but I’ve never been to a game,” Sullivan told Irish Sports Daily. “Everyone knows who Notre Dame is and I know the atmosphere is going to be crazy. I want to get a feel for it and see what it’s really like. I’ve always had an interest in Notre Dame, so I had to get up for a game.”

The Texas native holds early offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, Boston College, Houston, Kansas, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue and SMU, but expects a few more to come in the coming months.

Sullivan attended Notre Dame’s Elite Skills Camp in June and put himself on the radar for Irish receivers coach Del Alexander, who made sure to reach out on the first day 2020 prospects could be contacted.

“I have been in contact with him since September 1st when the coaches can text you,” said Sullivan. “Everything started blowing up then.”

Alexander is building a solid relationship with Sullivan, and that includes a conversation earlier on Wednesday.

“He texted me earlier today and said he’s looking forward to having me up for the game,” Sullivan said. “I’ve been talking to him about his guys and my season. We have been talking about everything pretty much.

“When I came over the summer, we spoke about a lot of things, and he met my parents. I got to see how he teaches his boys and how he makes them better young men and receivers.”

While it’s still early in Sullivan’s recruiting process, the chance to play early is something he’s looking for, but he also knows he has to put in the work.

“I want to get to a school where I can fit in and make the team better,” explained Sullivan. “I’d love to play early. A lot of guys are starting to get a lot of chances early, and there’s a lot of true freshmen out there every year. That’s something I feel like I really want to do.”

Sullivan is serious about playing early and has already looked into expediting that process.

“I’ve looked into graduating high school early so I can early enroll,” stated Sullivan. “I want to get there for spring ball before my actual freshman year. “

Notre Dame will host Sullivan this week, but it’s just one stop in a busy fall schedule for the Round Rock standout.

“I know for sure I am going to get up to Arkansas,” Sullivan said. “I will be going to Baylor, Houston and Texas.

“Last week, I went to the Texas A&M game, and it was wild. It was crazy. That was the first time I had been there for a game.”

As for a commitment, Sullivan isn’t in a hurry to commit and quite frankly hasn’t given it much thought.

“Probably not any time close to now,” said Sullivan. “I guess it will come down to when it’s a perfect time and the perfect place.”
