2020 OL Dylan Barrett Recaps Return To Notre Dame
Dylan Barrett made his fourth trip to South Bend this year, but his first for a regular season game, this past weekend and once again, the 2020 Illinois offensive lineman was impressed.
“It was a great visit,” the 6-foot-5, 285-pounder said. “Everything I got to see and experience was very cool.”
The St. Charles East High School standout followed up an unofficial visit back in March with a trip for the spring game in April and then a camp in June, but enjoyed the chance to see the Irish beat Stanford 38-17 on Saturday.
“Watching ND get that W and to see how they executed,” he said of what stood out. It was a very cool place to play football in. The fans are awesome.
“They executed very well and that was good to see their success.”
He had the opportunity get down on the field and go inside the locker room after the win.
“Just the overall game day feeling is cool there,” he said.
Barrett had a chance to meet with some of the coaches during the trip.
“I didn’t get to speak much with them,” he said. “Just here and there, but it was very good to see and talk with them for the time I saw them.”
The junior from St. Charles, Ill., already has offers from schools like Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Northwestern, Missouri, West Virginia, Vanderbilt Purdue, Duke, Boston College and Cincinnati among others
He isn’t sure when he’ll get back to South Bend, but does have plans to hit some other schools this season.
“I’ll visit Wisconsin, Iowa, and Northwestern this fall as well.”
