Talented 2020 LB Jordan Turner Visiting Notre Dame This Weekend

It’s obvious Kory Cioroch is a big fan of Jordan Turner‍.

“I could talk about the kid all day long,” the Farmington High School head coach says of Turner, a 2020 linebacker prospect from the state of Michigan.

Cioroch calls the 6-foot-3, 220-pounder a “natural leader.”

“He was a captain for us as a sophomore, which is something I’ve never really come across,” the coach says. “He’s a captain for us again this year.

“Natural football player as well, real eye for the ball on defense and a real hellacious blocker on offense. He leads our team in tackles, he does the defensive calls. He’s a 4.0-student. He’s everything you’re looking for out of a football player and as a person.”

Turner already has offers from schools like Boston College, Syracuse, Rutgers, Pitt, Maryland, Central Michigan and Western Michigan, but that’s not his main focus right now.

“He doesn’t really talk about it,” his coach says. “He’s focused on us, which is everything we’re looking for. He’s a somewhat quiet, humble kid. He doesn’t have too much to say. He’s not bragging or anything. He’s just focused on getting better and going from there.”

Cioroch says Notre Dame is “one of many” other schools expressing interest in Turner as well, which is why Turner will be in South Bend this weekend for the Irish’s game against Pitt.

Turner was also blessed with a tremendous amount of athleticism, according to his coach.

“The kid’s an athlete,” says Cioroch. “When you use the word ‘athlete’ for some of these football players nowadays, you’re talking about corners and receivers, the fast dudes. This kid can really move around. He could probably play some defensive end, some offensive stuff. He is doing a lot of good stuff for us. He’s really versatile.”

Turner plays tight end and linebacker for Farmington.

“He plays inside linebacker the majority of the time,” Cioroch says. “Sometimes we’ll bring him off the edge, we’ll mix up some packages where he’s coming into the backfield.”
