Notre Dame had their best game of the season statistically against Navy and they should have. Navy’s defense was not very good and the Irish took advantage of it.

They really did terrific job on 1st down, gaining 354 of their 584 totals yards and averaged 9.6 yards per play. They also gained thirteen first downs running the football and had fourteen by passing it. All in all, it was a pretty balanced performance.
