This was the most Northwestern game of all time. They played tough. They played disciplined (zero penalties). They blocked a punt and recovered a fumble they didn’t force. They did all that and still got dominated in most areas of the game.

Notre Dame outgained them by over 200 yards and the difference in yards per play was staggering. 6.3 to 3.6 and it would have been a 2.0 difference if the Irish didn’t lose yards taking knees at the end of the game.
