With a 3 and out to start the game and then holding Clemson to a field goal after a turnover put them in a bad spot, there is no doubt the defense came to play. The Tigers only managed 45 yards in the opening quarter (2.6 per play).

Without Julian Love, we know where things went from there.

As I mentioned in the instant reaction after the game, Trevor Lawrence and the Clemson offense took advantage of Notre Dame missing its All-American corner.
