Had Notre Dame been offering Vito Campanile a scholarship last week, the Irish might have reeled in a commitment on the spot.

Instead, defensive coordinator Clark Lea and safeties coach Terry Joseph were offering the Bergen Catholic head coach’s newest star, 2022 cornerback/athlete Jaeden Gould‍.

“That’s so big for him,” Campanile told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “I’m so happy for him.
