Notre Dame safety Devin Studstill will enter his name into the transfer portal as the senior safety was missing Saturday’s spring practice.

Head coach Brian Kelly announced following practice the Florida native will transfer from Notre Dame, but Studstill will first graduate in May.

“Devin has decided to transfer,” stated Kelly. “He’ll enter the transfer portal. We love Devin. We wish him the best and he’ll graduate in the spring.

“He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do. He’s been a great teammate and worked his butt off. He’s in the best condition and shape of his life. I expect him to do really well wherever he ends up.”

The 6-foot, 200-pounder also posted a message on Instagram on Saturday afternoon.

“Time flies; (after 3 years) at the age of 20 I will have my degree this May and elect to grad transfer to pursue my dream, and fulfill my promise to my late mother... Pursue your dreams relentlessly and run towards the unknown. Can’t wait to see y’all at the top!”

Studstill recorded 60 tackles, one tackle for loss and one interception in three seasons at Notre Dame.
