Drue Tranquill Headed To Los Angeles

April 27, 2019

The Los Angeles Chargers might be the new Notre Dame West as they selected linebacker Drue Tranquill with the 130th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Tranquill will join fellow draftee Jerry Tillery in Los Angeles along with current Chargers defensive lineman Isaac Rochell.

The two-time Notre Dame captain ended his Notre Dame career with 292 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and 11 pass breakups.

Despite tearing both ACL’s while at Notre Dame, Tranquill moved up draft boards all spring as he led the linebackers with 31 bench reps, ran a 4.57 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and the capped it off with a phenomenal Pro Day performance.
