Green Bay Drafts RB Dexter Williams

April 27, 2019

The Green Packers selected running back Dexter Williams with the 194th pick (6th round) in the 2019 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.

Williams finished his Notre Dame career with 1,636 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.

The career numbers are impressive when you factor in Williams didn’t start until his senior year and missed the first four games of the 2018 season. The Florida native rushed for 995 yards and 12 touchdowns in nine games for the Irish last fall.

As a junior, Williams carried the rock just 39 times, but he did average 9.2 yards per carry.

Williams will join former teammates DeShone Kizer and Equanimeous St. Brown in Green Bay.
