2020 New York ATH Cullen Coleman Looks Forward To Notre Dame Official
Notre Dame dropped in on Cullen Coleman last week and the 2020 New York athlete will repay the visit when he takes an official to South Bend in June.
The visit will be the second to Notre Dame for Coleman, who took an unofficial to South Bend earlier this month.
“I just enjoyed the coaches and players,” the 6-foot-3, 211-pounder said. “I liked the campus because I got tour all around to see what it was like. It’s just a nice place all around.”
He’s excited to return for the Irish’s major recruiting event on June 21st.
“I want to see the players,” the Rye Country Day School star said. “I want to get to know the people I’ll be around all day better. I want to see what the players are like and what a day would be like.”
Notre Dame assistant Tom Rees was by the school to check on Coleman last week.
“I’m sure he just wanted to come by to show that they are interested and to say what’s up,” said Coleman of Rees’ visit.
Even though contact is restricted during the visits from college coaches, Coleman appreciates their efforts.
“It’s good,” he said. “It shows they’re interested and they aren’t just throwing out offers and not talking to me anymore, so it’s always good.”
Coleman also has offers from schools like Penn State, Michigan, Northwestern, Ohio State, Cal, Alabama, Nebraska and a host of others, including multiple Ivy League schools.
He doesn’t have any other officials locked in yet,
“But I will soon,” he added.
He also said there aren’t really any other programs that are guaranteed official visits just yet.
He’s hoping to make a commitment by the start of his senior season, but won’t force it if he isn’t ready.
“I want to, but it might be early fall.”
