Elite 2020 S Kristian Story Talks Notre Dame, Top 5 & Official Visits

When Kristian Story‍ first visited Notre Dame back in November, the elite 2020 Alabama athlete knew he’d be back.

Next month, the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder will return to South Bend for an official visit.

“The football tradition and the history that comes with that school and academics too,” Story said of what he likes about Notre Dame.

Safeties coach Terry Joseph is handling Story’s recruitment for the Irish.

“Coach Joseph is a real straightforward person,” he said. “I really like talking to Coach Joseph and I think he’s a good coach also.

“He wants me to know that they really want me. They like me. He said I’m a big, physical, athletic type of player.”

The Lanett High School star enjoyed his first visit to South Bend for the Irish’s game against Florida State, when he picked up his offer from Brian Kelly. He’s looking forward to getting back.

“This time, I will have more time to see different things,” said Story, who added he wants to see as much as possible when he gets back for the big June 21st weekend.

Notre Dame is in Story’s top five along with Alabama, Tennessee, LSU and Texas A&M.

Texas A&M is the only other official visit he has set up. He’ll be in College Station on June 7th.

Aggies assistant Dameyune Craig head coach Jimbo Fisher have made strong impressions on Story.

“I think Coach Fisher is a good football coach,” he said. “I feel like he’s going to do a great job there.”

“I just want to get a feel for the place, get comfortable there, get to talk to the coaches and get a feel for them as well and just relax.”

Story said he likes Alabama because the Crimson Tide are “big on tradition.” He pointed to the coaching staff at Tennessee and the “family feel” with LSU, adding, “They have really good tradition as well and they’re Top 10 every year.”

He’s set to announce his decision on his birthday, Oct. 5th.

“It’ll pretty much be where I feel comfortable and a place where I feel I can be my best.”
