Spring Post-Mortem | Running Back

May 17, 2019

Dexter Williams did not play the first four games of 2018, but he made the most of his ¾ of a season. He averaged 110 yards per game, matching Josh Adams’ production from a year earlier, and scored 12 rushing touchdowns.

Notre Dame was looking for a RB1 to replace Adams and found it in Williams.

This spring at running back was partially about finding who is going to replace or surpass Williams production. After the the spring there might be a favorite to be RB1 for the Irish, but it also looks like there could be committee that more so than a bell cow back.
