Notre Dame basketball got some big news on Friday evening as transfer Cormac Ryan let Mike Brey know he would be coming to South Bend, according to a source within the Irish basketball program.
The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 8.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steals as a freshman at Stanford. Ryan started 17 games while playing in 24 for the Cardinal.
Ryan will sit in 2019-2020 and will not seek a waiver to play this season.
As a recruit, Ryan was ranked as a four-star prospect by several services.
