Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book is among many of the nation’s top quarterbacks as a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy, which started on Thursday at Nicholls State in Louisiana.

As a counselor, Book will get to coach and mentor high school quarterbacks from all over the country over the next few days, but there is also some competition for the college guys.

In most years, the college quarterbacks compete in a skills competition; however, that isn’t the most significant part of the event for Book.

During the week, the NFL media is around the camp and has a chance to mingle with the college quarterbacks, which can allow a player to start to gain some momentum for the next level.

KJ Costello (Stanford), Jarrett Guarantano (Tennessee), Matt Corral (Ole Miss), Bryce Perkins (Virginia), Jake Bentley (South Carolina, JT Daniels (USC), Jake Fromm (Georgia), Justin Herbert (Oregon), Joe Burrow (LSU) and Trevor Lawrence (Clemson) are just a few of the other names expected to be in attendance for the camp.
