Kraemer and Gilman Named Preseason All-Americans
Summer 2019 might have just started, but we're already a month away from the start of fall camp.
Sporting News recently released its preseason All-American teams and Notre Dame was represented on both sides of the ball.
Senior right guard Tommy Kraemer was named a first-team All-American and senior safety Alohi Gilman was named second-team.
According to Notre Dame, Kraemer started 12 games in 2017, but saw action in all 13 games.
Last fall, Kraemer moved inside to guard where he played in 12 games and started 10.
Gilman got in the field for the first time for the Irish last year after transferring from Navy the year before.
The Hawaii native recorded 94 tackles, three tackles for loss, two interceptions, five passes defended and recovered one fumble in 2018.
Notre Dame will start the 2019 season at Louisville on September 2nd.
