Notre Dame offensive line recruiting is off to a hot start in 2021 with commitments from Blake Fisher‍ and Greg Crippen‍.

2021 Episcopal (Texas) offensive lineman Donovan Jackson‍ is a name to now put on your watch lists as the four-star prospect released his top 12 on Monday afternoon.

Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M will now compete for one of the nation’s premier lineman regardless of class.

In fact, the 6-foot-4, 310-pounder took home Offensive Line MVP at The Opening last week, which is super rare for an underclassman.

Notre Dame hasn’t hosted Jackson for a visit yet, but he’s well-aware of the opportunities in South Bend.

“The education and the football,” Jackson said of Notre Dame last week in Dallas. “My family is big on academics. I can’t do anything without a proper degree in college, so Notre Dame is one of those schools I looked at from the beginning.”

Jackson will also try to get to Notre Dame this fall for a game.

“I don’t know much about the campus, but I just want to get a feel for what it’s like to be in Indiana,” explained Jackson. “Texas schools are easy (to visit). If I have a free weekend, I can go up there. But going somewhere out of state takes a lot of planning. I’ll talk to my dad about it and we’ll see.”
