Got some info on 2019 Texas WR Garrett Wilson following this weekend's visit to Notre Dame.
I'm told everything went very well. The message from the coaches was extremely positive, especially Coach Del Alexander. The tradition about ND was one of the reasons Wilson wanted to take the unofficial to South Bend in the first place. As always, Adam Sargent made an extremely strong impression from an academic standpoint.
Wilson is an all-state basketball player and he even got a chance to spend time with Irish hoops assistant Ryan Ayers. Although it doesn't sound like basketball is going to be a huge priority in his decision, but he was definitely impressed that ND said it could be an option.
He's already got officials planned to Texas, Oklahoma and Ohio State, where he also visited this weekend. Notre Dame is in the running for one of the final two spots on the official docket, but he'll take visits to Oklahoma State and Arkansas before deciding for sure.
Full story coming later.
