Notre Dame's 2020 recruiting class continues to grow and now, German defensive end Alexander Ehrensberger has some company on that side of the ball.
For months, the Irish's 2020 class consisted entirely of offensive players with quarterback Drew Pyne and tight ends Kevin Bauman and Michael Mayer.
Ehrensberger got Clark Lea's unit on the board two weeks ago and Denver defensive tackle Aidan Keanaaina gave the Irish another defender with his public commitment on Wednesday.
As always, Pyne was fired up to add another player to the group.
"Obviously, I am very excited for him to join the family," Pyne told Irish Sports Daily. "Every interaction I've had with Aiden shows what a great kid he is. He is a force on the DL and it is a heck of a start for that unit so far in our class. More to come! Go Irish!!"
Mayer was also excited.
"It's awesome," he said. "Just another amazing play for the class. This class is gonna be special
Bauman said he was "so pumped up!"
"Another huge D-lineman," he added. "Great addition!"
