Let's face it, these 6 games are "gimmes":
Navy, Tenn State, Central Michigan, Pitt, Wake Forest, Stanford.
These would be extreme disappointments
That leaves 6 games that are "toss ups"
NC State (On the road)
Ohio St (Home)
Duke (On the road)
Louisville (On the road)
USC (Home)
Clemson (On the road)
I count road games against NC State, Duke, and Louisville as "toss ups".
Ohio State, USC, and Clemson are "toss ups" no matter where they are played
ND is 3-3 in these 6 toss-up games. Clearly not good enough.
Ohio State they are one defensive stop/play from winning. Clemson ND just didn't come to win against a team that was very beatable.
Louisville, a prim-time game on the road after 2 emotional games the 2 weeks before was a big task to complete.
I am a big Marcus Freeman fan. HUGE. He needs to do better in 2024 in these toss-up games. That will define his tenure at ND.
