2021 Maui Invitational Bracket Set, Notre Dame Will Face St. Mary's
The 2021 Maui Invitational was released on Tuesday morning and Notre Dame will open with St. Mary’s.
The Irish and Gaels will tip-off on November 22 at 11:30 PM ET and will be the final game of the opening round. The winner will face the winner of Chaminade vs. Oregon.
The other opening-round games will be Texas A&M vs. Wisconsin and Butler vs. Houston.
Maui has been good to Mike Brey and the Irish as Notre Dame won the tournament in 2017 by beating Chaminade, LSU and Wichita State.
Notre Dame has made four trips to the Maui Invitational and holds a record of 7-3.
As it relates to the Gaels, St. Mary’s has faced the Irish just twice and this will be the first meeting since 1981. Notre Dame leads the series 2-0.
The Gaels finished 14-10 and 4-6 in WCC play last season, which included three losses to Gonzaga by double-digits.
