Video | Notre Dame G Dane Goodwin on 18 Straight Games in Double Figures
On Tuesday afternoon, Notre Dame basketball captain Dane Goodwin spoke as the Irish prepare for a tough stretch of four games in seven games.
Goodwin has now scored in double figures in 18 straight games as the Irish host NC State on Wednesday night. How did this happen? Consistency in his day-to-day approach.
The streak hasn't only helped the team, but it's given Goodwin more confidence in his game while still being patient on both ends of the floor.
Goodwin also credits sticking to a weekly routine that has helped create a path for consistency. The routine is different on non-game days and Goodwin has focused on taking care of his body, which is important for Notre Dame as the home stretch is just around the corner.
The Ohio native also felt Mike Brey's seven-man rotation has helped him and his teammates gain more confidence as they will be allowed to play through mistakes.
Goodwin also discussed the impact of freshman Blake Wesley on the Irish.
