Updated 2021 ISD Fab 50
ISD's Jamie Uyeyama updates his top-50 prospects in the 2021 cycle. Three Notre Dame signees made the cut
On RB Logan Diggs and Prince Kollie
Checked in with some sources late last night to get a vibe on where things stand with both players. Logan Diggs: I think Notre Dame is in a dog fight here. The LSU offer is something Louisiana kids dream of and going to school an hour from home is obviously attractive to many. LSU seems to be making a pitch centered around family, distance and the benefits of staying home. Obviously, benefits to staying home and leaving for a school like Notre Dame, so it's something weighing on Diggs at the moment. The trip to Notre Dame two weeks ago is probably making it a tougher decision as Diggs has always seemed to take the fact of no official visits harder than most kids....and most kids aren't happy at all. The X-factor in this recruitment could very well come down to LSU wanting Diggs to play linebacker early in the process. Kids don't forget that. Notre Dame somewhat experienced it with Titus Mokiao Atimalala and to a point Andrel Anthony where they mentioned DB at one point and it essentially turned those kids off. I'm sure Diggs has those conversations in the back of his mind as he'd be the second back in the class behind Corey Kiner. We're also told LSU likely has Diggs as the No. 2 #2 back in the class. Former Auburn RB commit Armoni Goodwin is the guy the Tigers would love to land and it's likely he joins the class and takes Diggs' spot. I'm not sure I buy into the Kiner flipping to Cincinnati hype as much as some, but if Kiner did flip to Cincinnati, it would likely open a spot for Diggs, however, I don't believe that's likely. When it comes to Prince Kollie, it's no secret other schools are trying to pounce at the chance to flip him as Mike mentioned yesterday. I wouldn't read too much into the delay of his ceremony as he's in contact tracing for COVID, but Notre Dame is definitely working on him to sign tomorrow. The good news for the Irish is Nick Lezynski was heavily involved in his recruitment and will be a big part of the next 24 hours (or more) moving forward. Kollie is still communicating with the Notre Dame staff and that's good. In addition to Mike mentioned Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and LSU as schools reaching out to Kollie, I believe Louisville is another school to watch as they were the runner-up for his commitment. It's a school where he connected with the staff and he was impressed with the track record of LBs his size panning out. I also had a conversation last night with a guy who communicated with an individual very close to Kollie. That person had reached out to folks at Notre Dame and even some commits with some advice and ideas to help Kollie remain in the class. Notre Dame has done a good job of impressing those around Kollie and it could pay off more than originally thought when he committed. The folks around him have faith in Notre Dame and it could be a significant part of keeping him in the class and realizing coaches come and go. I was told relationships mean a great deal to Kollie and that's why he's having a hard time with Lea's departure, but the bond between the commits is something he's not going to find at other schools..at least not this late. The education and religious component were also important in Kollie's decision to commit to Notre Dame and that's also being stressed by those around the four-star prospect.
2021 RB Corey Kiner makes a commitment
2021 Ohio running back Corey Kiner has committed to LSU. This is why Notre Dame didn't really push for him in the last week since Will Shipley committed to Clemson.

Thoughts on why I don't see Notre Dame getting left out with scheduling this year, losing Will Shipley, and more
