Couple of notable(ish) commitments
2021 Foster (Texas) four-star OL Reuben Fatheree has committed to Texas A&M.Notre Dame never quite gained enough traction as he wasn't able ever to get on campus. Fatheree had spoken about getting to South Bend and it was very likely he would have been on campus in June, but the dead period allowed A&M to surge. Now, it wasn't likely he was leaving the state of Texas for what it's worth.2021 Ben Davis (Ind.) CB Daylan Carnell has committed to Mizzou. Carnell had been removed from the ISD target list for quite some time as the Irish focused their attention on many other cornerbacks/defensive backs. Carnell was tired and sick at Irish Invasion in the summer and didn't have the best camp and it was crickets after that. It was similar to former Indy cornerback DJ Johnson where Notre Dame was likely the leader heading into camp but following, the Irish cooled on both prospects. I do think Carnell has some unique physical traits, but in the 2-3 camps I've seen him at, he's never quite jumped off the page on the field. But that's based off 2-3 times seeing him, so it's not a ton of work.I would also expect Michigan to land 2021 Choate Rosemary Hall (Conn.) offensive lineman Tristan Bounds in the near future. I think the Wolverines have some momentum here. The interesting aspect here will be the number of offensive linemen Michigan takes and how it impacts Rocco Spindler. If Bounds does commit to Michigan, he would be No. 4. Michigan is also expected to land Noble And Greenough School (Mass.) offensive lineman Drew Kendall and that would make No. 5. There is no question Michigan would take six offensive linemen if Spindler wanted to jump on board, but I would highly doubt being part of a 6-man OL class is attractive to him.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
