Update on 2021 DE Jeremiah Willliams
Just spoke with 2021 Ramsay (Ala.) defensive end Jeremiah Williams and it's clear Notre Dame is in the race. The four-star prospect is working out a date to get to campus and that will be in March or April. Mike Elston has done a great job here and they text or talk almost every day. He'll be at Tennessee this weekend and is planning other visits out. On the Vols, Williams believes they are close to getting over the hump and the energy in the program. As for the in-state programs, Williams says he has no problem leaving the state if the fit is right. Comfortability is going to be the deciding factor here. Not going to predict a win for the Irish, but Notre Dame is firmly in the race as of Jan. 21, 2020. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/6400528/5de201b64205c110f4a541ee

Notre Dame hitting GA hard on Tuesday
Touched base with a source and Notre Dame will make its presence felt in the South. Mike Elston will be at Ramsay high school in Alabama to check on four-star defensive Jeremiah Williams, who I personally think is one of the best defensive ends in the country. Big visit there. Elston will then head to Carrollton (Ga.) where there is a host of players to check on including linebacker Chaz Chambliss, who holds an offer from Notre Dame. It's unclear how hard Notre Dame is pushing for Chambliss, but he was one of the first prospects offered in 2021. 2021 CB Terrell Carmicheal and 2021 DE Khristian Zachary are two other prospects who have D1 offers. Hapeville (Ga.) will be another stop as its the home of DE/LB Zavier Carter before a stop at Grayson High School, which is one of the premier programs in Georgia.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
