New Jersey Road Trip Diary (Friday)
Spending a couple of days in New Jersey checking in on some Notre Dame commits, targets and one "potential" target. My first stop was Union HS, home of the "potential" target. We talked about 2022 CB Davison Igbinosun earlier this week. He was offered by the Irish back in February, but Notre Dame never seemed to chase him all that hard. Eventually, he committed to Rutgers. But earlier this week, he backed off that pledge and re-opened his recruitment. I'm told he's a player the Irish very well could try reconnecting with, but I'm not sure a decision has been made one way or the other for sure just yet. Igbinosun will take an official visit to Tennessee this week and one to Ole Miss next week. I'm told the Ole Miss staff has been coming at him hard from the start, even in the immediate aftermath of his pledge to the Scarlet Knights. He took officials to Duke & Pitt over the summer. He never took one to Rutgers because it's so close to home. That will leave Igbinosun with one official visit remaining. I asked a guy at his school if Notre Dame could work its way back in in time to get back in the race and potentially land that last official. I was told "Absolutely. Of course."It'll be interesting to see if the Irish try.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2
