Elite 2023 LB Sets Notre Dame Visit
2023 University Lab (La.) linebacker Jaiden Ausberry tells me he'll be returning to Notre Dame for Junior Day on Jan. 29th. The four-star prospect visited Notre Dame over the summer and impressed many around the program. Auberry's older brother, Austin Ausberry, signed with Auburn in the 2022 cycle, so it's furthers both players saying they were open to going places outside of LSU. Remember, University Lab literally is across the street from LSU. Ausberry's father, Verge, played for the Tigers and is currently LSU's Executive Deputy Athletic Director, so expect Brian Kelly and company to come hard as keeping Louisiana kids home will be a top priority in his first class. Ausberry is open to leaving the state and showed it as he took visits to Florida, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Texas A&M since the COVID dead period was lifted. Ohio State is very much involved here too. Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame have been coming hard as of late and Ausberry says he's appreciated it.And yes, Drayk Bowen is all over this. Rivals Top 250 for 2022 Updated
Rivals continues to struggle with quality evaluations. Notre Dame fine in this update, but while rankings are exact science by any means, I think I struggle with Rivals the most over the last few years. Notre Dame Offers and Targets14. S Xavier Nwankpa +2019. OL Zach Rice -131. LB Jaylen Sneed +14 - Notre Dame (2 spots away from five-star status)45. WR CJ Williams -17 - Notre Dame80. DL Anthony Lucas +6787. DL Hero Kanu -889. DE Cyrus Moss -195. DB Austin Ausberry _105104. DE Tyson Ford -14 - Notre Dame114. OL Ty Chan +75 - Notre Dame126. OL Billy Schrauth -10156. LB Joshua Burnham -17 - Notre Dame159. LB Niuafe Tuihalamaka -16 - Notre Dame161. WR Tobias Merriweather -7 - Notre Dame186. OL Joey Tanona -1 - Notre Dame203. OL Aamil Wagner -9 240. RB JD Price -5 - Notre DameThoughts- OSU RB commit Dallan Hayden dropped 60 spots to 237. Don't get it. - Not sure I see the love for 2022 North Carolina DE commit Beau Atkinson to move up 79 spots to 153. - I don't agree with OL Julian Armella being the No. 4 player in the country. Would have a long list of OL better now and with higher ceilings. Despite most of Notre Dame commits falling, the Irish did improve its class score.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
