New Prediction In
I've gone ahead and put in a prediction for Notre Dame to land 2023 Folsom (Calif.) receiver Rico Flores Jr. following the release of his top three on Thursday. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder will choose between Georgia, Notre Dame and Ohio State on July 3rd and the Irish seem to be in a good position to land Flores despite him not having stepped on campus yet.Flores has had Ohio State in the lead at times during his recruitment, but I believe the Buckeyes have turned focus to Brandon Inniss, Noah Rogers and Carnell Tate among a few others. If Brian Hartline strikes out on Ohio State's big three, then I'd watch Flores, but as of right now, the Buckeyes attention is on others despite hosting Flores this spring. As Christian mentioned yesterday, Georgia will need to figure out where Flores is on its board, which is a good thing for Notre Dame as the Irish have made him a priority. Chansi Stuckey, Marcus Freeman and Chad Bowden have all been very involved here, which included the staff stopping to check on him Friday afternoon. Flores will be at Notre Dame June 10th for an official visit and the Irish will have the chance to close the deal. National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
