The Latest | 2024 CB Kevyn Humes
I am told 2024 St. Francis (Md.) cornerback Kevyn Humes will not be taking his official visit to Notre Dame on January 26th. Notre Dame has moved on, which I felt was the likely outcome when he decided to reclassify to the 2024 class last month. I also believe Notre Dame isn't the only school moving on from him at this stage. In most cases when kids reclassify, it's been planned out ahead of time. The nation's top player JuJu Lewis, reclassifed from the 2026 to 2025 today, but that's plenty of time to get his academic workload in order and it's been talked about dating back to last spring. Humes has the talent to be very good college football player, but Notre Dame seems to be doing well at cornerback right now. 2025 cornerback Cree Thomas is already in the fold and two elite prospects are on campus this weekend in Devin Williams and Dallas Golden. New 2024 CB Kevyn Humes Set OV
I'm told 2024 St. Frances Academy (Md.) CB Kevyn Humes will take an official visit to Notre Dame on January 26th after announcing he would reclassify from the 2025 class on Christmas. In talking to sources around Humes, the decision happened recently so it wasn't necessarily planned out for months and he wants to enroll at a school in February after NSD to go through spring ball.I believe Notre Dame would push for him to be a summer enrollee at this point. Humes has mentioned he would like to sign and enroll to go through spring ball in a few months, but not sure how set he is on that. Humes will also take official visits to Syracuse, Penn State and Florida before signing in February. 2025 CB Kevyn Humes names Top 5
2025 St. Frances Academy (Md.) cornerback Kevyn Humes has named his top 5 and Notre Dame made the cut. In addition to the Irish, Humes will focus on Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and Penn State. The four-star prospect has visited South Bend twice this year as he was in town for a spring practice and then returned for the USC game last month. Mike Mickens has developed a strong relationship and seeing how Notre Dame has played freshmen the last two years stood out to Humes. "Coach Mickens is a real good ball coach," said Humes. "He puts his corners in positions where they're going to win, and he really coaches them up. He has a knack for playing freshmen, which I really like. I got to see #29 (Christian Gray) who was a true freshman out there a couple times, which was good for me to see."https://www.hudl.com/video/3/15749259/65085e27a676570578c052eaISlide White Notre Dame Fighting Irish Camo Slide Sandals

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
