New Prediction
Quarterback recruiting has drastically improved over the last few years and Notre Dame looks to continue that momentum in the 2026 recruiting class. Notre Dame has offered seven quarterbacks and watched several others throw in-person in during the winter and spring evaluation periods. The leg work has been done. Four of the seven offers have already visited campus and in one case, 2026 Lake Mary (Fla.) quarterback Noah Grubbs has made three trips to South Bend in the last year while still making trips to several other programs coast-to-coast. It's not a secret Notre Dame leads here, but I've tossed in a prediction for Grubbs to pick the Irish. Now, I don't think he's necessarily in decision mode or a commitment is imminent, but it's at the point where I feel Notre Dame's lead continues to grow behind efforts from Marcus Freeman, Gino Guidugli and Chad Bowden. I do think Notre Dame would love to have a quarterback committed early, similar to CJ Carr and Deuce Knight, so they have a chance to build the class with the quarterback as the face of the class. Grubbs currently has a top 10 of Auburn, UCF, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Texas A&M. National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
