The Latest | 2025 WR Derek Meadows & More
I wanted to wait until this morning and talk to one more source before posting this, but after a productive chat with the staff and his family last night, I believe Notre Dame is firmly back in the race for 2025 Bishop Gorman (Nev.) WR Derek Meadows. The conversation was able to give the Meadows family plenty to think about over dinner, as I believe the staff was able to show how much they need a top-tier receiver talent on the roster. As we reported earlier this week, LSU seemed to be making up ground in a hurry, and multiple sources believe the Tigers had pulled ahead in the race before Notre Dame's call last night. This morning, sources around the Meadows camp made it clear that the message was received well by the family. In fact, it's almost remarkable the source already knows about the conversation considering just now 7am in Las Vegas, so that likely speaks volumes. It will be an interesting spring to Saturday, but at this point, if Meadows chooses Alabama or LSU, I'm not sure there is anything more Notre Dame's staff could have done or said.- Notre Dame also had a productive call with 2025 receiver Dylan Robinson and his family on Tuesday night. Pending who you talk to, Notre Dame or Washington leads, which is a bit strange considering they want him to play different positions. To me, I don't know if he's made a final call on that if there are still mixed messages. Eventually, Robinson will have to make a call on whether he wants to play receiver or defensive back. If it's receiver, Notre Dame wins. - In talking to sources, it seems like 2025 receiver Tanook Hines is leaning towards Texas or USC. As of Wednesday morning, Hines is a take for Texas after they missed on five-star Dakorian Moore last week. Right now, I'd side with USC but there are also several factors in Texas' favor if they really wanted to push.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
