Elite 2020 DE Visiting on Monday
Notre Dame offered 2020 Providence Day (N.C.) defensive end Jacolbe Cowan in June and he will make his way to South Bend on Monday according to his mother. The 6-foot-5, 250-pounder is one of the nation's most wanted prospects as Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, NC State, Penn State, South Carolina, Vandy, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin are just a few of the programs that have offered already. Cowan is the teammate of 2020 receiver Porter Rooks and 2019 four-star linebacker Ositadinma Ekwonu and all three will be on campus within a three-week span. Keep your eye on 2019 NC LB Ositadinma Ekwonu
2019 Providence Day (N.C.) linebacker Ositadinma Ekwonu is quickly blowing up in the last few weeks. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder camped at Irish Invasion during the summer and then returned this fall for a visit. Ohio State and Penn State just came through with offers on Tuesday and Notre Dame has remained in contact. "I spoke with coach (Clark) Lea this weekend," said Ekwonu. "He said he was still interested and that I would be a great fit at Notre Dame." Ekwonu holds offers from Appalachian State, Duke, Kent State, Ohio State, Penn State, Syracuse, Toledo and Wake Forest. It's also worth noting Ekwonu is teammates with top 2020 DE Jacolbe Cowan and 2020 WR Porter Rooks, who could end up being Top 50 players and Notre Dame offered both in the spring. National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
